International students in Sydney NSW can access the many services available at both the government and provider level to assist international students to discover the academic and cultural rewards of studying in Sydney Australia.

With a pleasant climate, Sydney has a mild winter and warm summers. This has led to the development of an active beach culture, with the famous Bondi and  Coogee beaches attracting a constant stream of visitors, swimmers, sunbakers and surfers all year round.

As the country's most populous city, Sydney has a strong cultural life, with many bars and restaurants serving cuisines that reflect Sydney's multicultural community. There are also many local theaters, cinemas and live music venues that attract both local and headline international acts.

The weather is moderated by proximity to the ocean, and more extreme temperatures are recorded in the inland western suburbs. The warmest month is January, with an average air temperature range at Observatory Hill of 18.6-25.9°C (65-79°F). An average of 14.6 days a year have temperatures of more than 30°C (86°F). The highest recorded maximum temperature at Observatory Hill was 45.8°C (114.4°F) on 18 January 2013 during a prolonged heat wave across Australia from early December 2012 to late January 2013. In winter, temperatures rarely drop below 5°C (41°F) in coastal areas. The coldest month is July, with an average range of 8.0-16.2°C (46-61°F). The lowest recorded minimum at Observatory Hill was 2.1°C (35.8°F).
